Imaginal Worlds is the private client portal for AOHK, Inc. It is not a public service: access is by invitation, and there is no self-service sign-up.
What we collect
When you are invited and sign in, we collect your email address, your name if you provide one, and a record of which organisation invited you and what access they granted. If you sign in with Google, we receive your email address, name, and profile picture from Google — nothing else, and we do not request access to any other Google data.
Why
Your email address is how you are invited and how you are named on screen. Before you accept an invitation there is no account yet, so what you have been offered is held against your address until you do. After that, your access is recorded against an internal account identifier — with your address kept alongside it so that people reading the record can tell who it refers to. Changing your email therefore does not change what you can reach.
We keep a record of who granted whom access to what, and when, so that access can be audited.
Who handles it
Authentication is provided by Clerk, which stores your credentials and profile. Our own records are held in Google Cloud. The record of what you may reach is copied to each product you have access to — currently FACET, hosted on Convex — because each one applies those permissions itself rather than asking us on every request. We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.
How long
Account data is kept while your access is active. Records of access changes are retained after that, because an audit trail that can be erased is not an audit trail. A withdrawn permission is kept briefly as a marker so the products learn it was withdrawn rather than simply finding it gone; the markers are cleared once they have done that, and the audit record of the change remains.
Your choices
You can view and update your profile from your account settings, and disconnect a linked Google account at any time. To request deletion of your account, contact the organisation that invited you or write to bd@aohk.ai.
